Your Aqeeqah helps People

“The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) commanded us to sacrifice two sheep for a boy’s ‘Aqeeqah and one sheep for a girl.”

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was always mindful of the impoverished and poor and included them in all events.

For Muslims, performing Aqeeqah is the most respectful way to thank Allah Almighty for the blessing of the child he has bestowed on us. This way, we not only thank Allah for his grace, but we also help the needy eat meat and overcome hunger by distributing the meat of a sacrificial animal.

Aqeeqah

Aqeeqah, in the Islamic language, refers to animal slaughter during childbirth. The preferred manner for performing Aqeeqah is on the seventh day; otherwise, on the 14th or 21st, and so on. Some scholars have issued a Fatwa stating that Aqeeqah is valid till the day of death. The performance of Aqeeqah is strongly encouraged. It must be performed by the child’s parents or guardians.

When the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions received a newborn, they would conduct Aqeeqah as there are numerous benefits to performing Aqeeqah. One benefit is announcing the baby’s birth. Being given a kid is a tremendous blessing from the Creator. Another benefit is to gather relatives, neighbours, and friends to commemorate the auspicious event. The underprivileged are also invited to the celebration by providing them with food and meat on this special occasion.
