$10.00, Palestine Emergency...
Million people need a wheelchair, yet only about 5 percent to 15 percent of them have access to one
People who need assistive devices do not have access to them in many parts of Africa and South Asia
People living with disabilities reside in developing countries, out of over one billion affected globally.
Without access to a wheelchair, people living with physical disabilities are often forced to rely entirely on others for even the most basic tasks, such as moving from one room to another or using the bathroom.
In many low income communities, the terrain is rough and infrastructure is not disability friendly, making movement even more difficult. Families, already living in financial hardship, cannot afford to purchase mobility aids, leaving their loved ones confined to a bed or floor.
Through its Wheelchair Appeal, BGR is working to change this reality. By donating a wheelchair, you are giving someone the freedom to move, to participate in their community, and to live with dignity.
