School Kits for Children

According to UIS data for the school year ending in 2018, over 258 million children and youth are out of school globally. This staggering number includes 59 million primary school-aged students, 62 million in lower secondary school, and 138 million in upper secondary school.

Education is a strong instrument for empowerment, allowing youngsters to break the cycle of poverty and create brighter futures for themselves and their families. Many socioeconomically disadvantaged families, particularly in the aftermath of the pandemic, are trying to make ends meet, making educational stationery kits a low priority.

BGR’s School Kits for Children Appeal strives to alleviate the obstacles that students from poor communities have in accessing essential educational supplies. Fortunately, our school kit drive resulted in student attendance beginning with the first week of the academic year.
