Orphans face a significant lack of access to stable housing
Million children globally are currently living in institutional or group care settings
Children in institutional care receive consistent education and proper healthcare
For millions of orphaned and abandoned children around the world, the loss of parents is only the beginning of their hardship. In regions affected by conflict, natural disasters, and displacement, the number of orphaned children continues to rise, placing immense pressure on already strained care facilities.
Studies show that children without access to safe housing are at a much higher risk of abuse, malnutrition, illness, and exploitation, including trafficking and child labor.
At BGR, we are responding to this crisis by constructing modern, child-friendly orphanages in areas where the need is greatest. Each orphanage includes clean sleeping quarters, hygienic washrooms, kitchens, classrooms, and recreational areas to ensure a nurturing and balanced environment. These homes are built with dignity and sustainability in mind, empowering local communities to participate in long-term care and development.
